SOUTH AFRICAN ILLUSTRATION

We thought we should share some of the things which influence us.This is artwork from a local Durban graphic designer, Wesley Van Eeden, showcasing local South African transport amatekisi and istimela, township RDP houses known better as "o four room" as he sees them. Check them out.

African art and patterns!

Have a look at the above African influenced artwork, we just thought we should share what kind of elements influence us as JoDuCa one of them are African artwork and patterns. This particular one is Sepedi influenced. Sepedi is one of the eleven official languages of this country as all of us hopefully know. Amazing how colours carefully put together can give off such a beautiful artwork.

Pictures of material which first influenced us, at the beginning of JoDuCa its one of the reasons we want to do what we do, mixing traditional and the present. We might bring Dashikis Back! (laughing)
